The Gray House Guild (GHG) is a voluntary, non-profit, non-denominational society which owns and operates the Allen Gray Continuing Care Centre (AGCCC). The GHG has a storied history which began in 1952 and whose members had a passion to help those in the community in need of health services.

In 1963 they established the Allen Gray Auxiliary Hospital with 50 beds in the Avonmore neighbourhood. In 2002, a new long term care centre was opened up in Mill Woods with a unique design which now has 156 beds, 17 lodge suites, an Adult Day support Program, and a Child Development Centre.

Making a Difference, Together" - The Gray House Guild

The Gray House Guild is searching for members to serve on committees and take part in our fundraising activities. We have monthly meetings at noon with 4-5 hours of committee work, and occasional special events.

Your service and commitment, along with your talent and expertise are important to us.  If you have experience in business, in the health sector or serving on a board of directors of a non-profit organization you will have some of the skills we need.  Having talents in raising funds, and having served in charitable organizations would be relevant.  If you relate to people in long term care and their issues, you would enjoy being a member of The Gray House Guild.

If you are interested in becoming a member of this vital organization, please send an email to grayhouse@allengray.ab.ca with your CV.

If you have any questions, leave a message at 780-469-9606 ext. 210.

the Gray House Guild is committed to ensure each resident has the opportunity to experience their best quality of life while at the AGCCC by maintaining a homelike, respectful, and supportive environment for residents and families.

One of the roles of The Guild is to raise funds for the provision of equipment and enhanced programs for the comfort of the residents. Members also advocate for improvements in long term care.

Guild members hold a casino every two years, biennial fairs with vendors, operate a Gift shop, support the Centre Art Gallery and Beth Aylen library and assist with other fund raising activities as needed. The Guild also accepts funds through donations.

Members have a chance to make a difference in the lives of our residents as well as build meaningful relationships. Members also serve on the AGCCC Board of Management along with community members who oversee the operations of the facility.  Being a member of the GHG is a rewarding experience.
